Washington had its season-worse shooting night as Oregon State went on to upset the 20th-ranked Huskies, 68-56. UW shot just 32 percent from the floor, 24 percent from three-point range and 47 percent from the foul line. The loss dropped the Huskies (15-6, 7-3) out of a first-place tie in the Pac-10 and likely out of the top 25. Scott Suggs had a career-high 18 points, just four in the second half. Isaiah Thomas, the team’s leading scorer, was held to nine points.

Star of the game
Jared Cunningham The OSU sophomore guard had a team-high 19 points and played stiffling defense in leading the Beavers to the upset. He made 13 of 17 free throws.

Play of the game
OSU senior guard Calvin Hayes finished off a three-point play that gave the Beavers a seven-point lead with 1:48 left, 61-54.

Misplay of the game
An uncontested layin by Devon Collier in the first 30 seconds of the second half, stepping in front of Matthew Bryan-Amaning. Colliers grabbed a rebound and put it back in without any resistence. That set the tone for the half.

  • Scott Suggs had a career-high 18 points, making 5 of 11 three pointers, as the Huskies lone offensive bright spot.

    The Huskies played like they were in a fog. And their coach sat there like he was in a fog too. Somebody needs to kick these young men in the backside so they can get their game on again. Right now they are sleepwalking out there. And Thomas, the guy everyone likes to praise all the time, is the worst one of the bunch now. Time to recalibrate this team because they are in constant “daze” mode right now.

    Play the Starting Five as usual for 1st Quarter,then if they aren`t executing start new line-up.Romar knows (hopefully?) what teammates should work well. Learn how to play against the Zone..Oregon is a sleeper that could be another defeat if the Dawgs play the way they did like OSU game. Go Dawgs!!!
