Lets take a look back at the three Washington recruiting classes that have graduated and give each player a fresh star rating based on what they did (yes, we know these were Tyrone Willingham recruits). Scale is 0-5 stars:

Proves how ineffective Ty and his staff were at talent evaluation, player development, scouting, and just recruiting overall. To think that a majority of the “Ty” players had very little or no impact on the team makes it clear how important recruiting is in this game (and I don’t even mean the star rankings). Granted, we did have some key players who were Ty recruits, but based on the total number of Ty recruits vs. the number of recruits that actually panned out…The ratio is terrible. Sark’s definitely got this thing pointed and headed in the right direction.
I hope SPNW is around to update this assessment annually.
