The Seattle Seahawks agreed to contract terms with eight members of their 2012 draft class Monday, including defensive end Bruce Irvin, making him the initial first-round pick (15th overall) to sign.
NFL analyst Andrew Brandt reported that Irvin, from the University of West Virginia, will get $9.34 million guaranteed over four years that includes a $5 million signing bonus.
In addition to Irvin, the Seahawks agreed to terms with second-round pick (47th overall) Bobby Wagner, a linebacker from Utah State; third-round pick (75th overall) Russell Wilson, a quarterback from Wisconsin; fifth-round pick (154th overall) Korey Toomer, a linebacker from Idaho; sixth-round pick (172nd overall) Jeremy Lane, a cornerback from Northwestern State (LA.) and sixth-round pick (181st overall) Winston Guy, a safety from Kentucky.
The Seahawks also signed both of their seventh-round selections, guard J.R. Sweezy (225th overall) of North Carolina State, and defensive end Greg Scruggs (232nd overall) of Louisville.
A major feature of the new collective bargaining agreement, signed last season, puts limits on the salaries paid rookies.

I just had a thought. What with everyone talking about the new play, the “Wildcat.” Actually the 49ers had that back when Bill Kilmer was QB. They called it the single wing back then.
