Besides wide receiver Terrell Owens, the Seahawks Sunday released 11 other players to reach the 75-man roster limit required by the NFL Monday.
Most notable were former University of Washington cornerback Roy Lewis and tight end Cameron Morrah, both veterans who are injured and were waived with an injury settlement. Lewis had a knee injury requiring surgery, and Morrah had a lingering toe injury.
Lewis played 32 games with the Seahawks from 2009-2011 as a backup corner and special-teams player. Morrah, a seventh-round pick by the Seahawks in 2009, played in 26 games, including six starts, and caught 16 balls for 194 yards.
Others waived via injury were DE Pep Livingston and LB Jameson Konz.
Owens was one of three vested veterans cut, a list that included G Deuce Lutui, 29, who started 72 of 93 games for Arizona, played for coach Pete Carroll at USC and was seen this summer as a solid backup candidate, and T Alex Barron, a six-year veteran.
Also waived were WR Phil Bates, T Edawn Caughman, RB Tyrell Sutton and CBs Ron Parker and Donny Lisowski, the latter an O’Dea High School and University of Montana grad. All were undrafted free agents.
