As expected, the Seahawks signed TE Evan Moore to the 53-man roster, replacing the released Kellen Winslow Jr., and also signed eight players to their practice squad. Evan, a California native who attended Stanford, joins his third NFL team following stints with the Green Bay Packers and Cleveland. The Browns released him Aug. 31.
Moore originally signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted rookie free agent May 5, 2008, then was released and picked up by Green Bay on May 22.
He suffered a knee injury in the preseason and spent the 2008 season on the Packers injured reserve list. Waived by Green Bay on Sept. 5, 2009, he signed to the Cleveland Browns practice squad on Nov. 9 and to their active roster on Dec. 5.
He played in 33 games with eight starts for the Browns, recording 62 receptions for 804 yards and five touchdowns.
The Seahawk announced the following practice squad: LB Allen Bradford; T/DT Edawn Coughman; G Rishaw Johnson; WR Jermaine Kearse; WR Ricardo Lockette; QB Josh Portis; S DeShawn Shead; LB Korey Toomer.
Kearse played college football at the University of Washington. Like Portis, he was waived by the Seahawks when the club reduced its roster from 75 to 53 players last week.

What was up with Kearse running a few plaays from scrimmage in the last game before cuts. Are they thinking of converting him to a running bnack? or just more variety?

Eddie Johnson just keeps getting better and better. His two goals were sensational but even without the goals he did an excellent job as part of the buildup while playing with his back to the goal. Klinsmann has got to give him a look with the USMNT.
