3: Number of UW crews that have won medals in the Olympic Games. In 1936 (Berlin), the eight-oared shell won a gold medal. In 1948 (London), the UW won a gold medal in the mens coxed fours. In 1952 (Helsinki), the UW won a bronze in mens coxed fours.

Hiram Conibear, Ed Leader and Rusty Callow were the first to enter, all in 1956. Bob Ernst, the UW Rowing Coordinator, was the last, in 1994 (this doesn’t count individuals, mainly coaches, who made the Hall of Fame for their work at other institutions).
29: Number of conference titles won by the UW’s men’s Junior Varsity eight since 1962.
32: National championships won by the UW women since 1970, including 12 NCAA titles, 14 National Collegiate Rowing Championship titles, and six National Women’s Rowing Association Regatta titles.
