  1. How about writers to Steve Kelley and KJR: chill!

Seems the biggest hype for the arena is coming directly from local sports radio and local sportswriters. Have you listened to KJR lately? They can’t go five minutes without mentioning the arena or having an NBA team here. Heck, 710ESPN even went so far as to create a mock news update for an NHL and NBA franchise in Seattle.

It is very obvious that the local sports media are combining forces to bring an arena and NBA/NHL to Seattle.

    • It’s almost like they have a major interest in more sports coming to the area.  How deep does this go?

  3. This was the most even-keeled practical discussion about a new Seattle arena among local sports media people I’ve seen/heard since Chris Hansen’s name first came up.  I was expecting the usual “break out the pom-poms” rhetoric you hear from the hacks at KJR (until I saw Art on the screen at least), but these three guys seem to understand the big picture.  A special congrats to Jerry Brewer for returning to Realityville after spending time on the bandwagon.

Someone in the NHL or NBA will want to move (or sell) their team to Seattle someday, but just not right now.
