Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner has dropped his appeal for a violation of the NFL policy on performance-enhancing drugs, the NFL announced Wednesday.

Browner, a Pro Bowler last season, will be suspended for the final four games of the regular season, which includes no use of practice facilities, and eligible to return Dec. 31, should the Seahawks have a playoff game.

The Seahawks had no immediate word about who will start Sunday against Arizona. According to anonymous media reports, Browner tested positive for a banned stimulant in September.

Another Seahawks cornerback, Richard Sherman, also tested positive and has a hearing set for Dec. 14.

The Seahawks signed cornerback Ron Parker from the Carolina Panthers practice squad to the active roster, signed cornerback DeShawn Shead from the practice squad to active roster and signed running back Derrick Coleman to the practice squad.

Parker originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent with Seattle on July 26, 2011, was released after training camp and signed with Oakland, playing in three games for the Raiders. Released by the Raiders on October 22, Parker was claimed off waivers by Seattle and played in two games on special teams before landing on injured reserve (Achilles) on December 13. He was released after training camp this season and was picked up by the Carolina Panthers, where he played in three games with one special teams tackle.

Shead signed with Seattle as an undrafted rookie free agent on April 28 and was released on August 31 after training camp. He was signed to the Seahawks practice squad the following day.

Coleman signed as an undrafted rookie free agent out of UCLA with the Minnesota Vikings on April 28 and played in three preseason games, rushing 19 times for 50 yards before being released during training camp.
