FS Earl Thomas and CB Richard Sherman are repeat members of the first team of the Associated Press All-Pro team, annually the most prestigious honor among NFL post-season awards. SS Kam Chancellor, a third member of the Legion of Boom, made the second team. The complete list, announced Friday morning, is here.

No Seahawks offensive or special teams players were named. A year ago, C Max Unger and RB Marshawn Lynch were on the first team, as were Sherman and Thomas. Thomas was the first repeat choice at safety since Pittsburgh’s Troy Polamalu in 2010-11. Sherman was the first repeater at cornerback since Darrelle Revis in 2009-11.

The second-team quarterback spot was unfilled because Denver’s Peyton Manning was the unanimous selection by 50 sportswriters from around the country who cover the NFL on a regular basis. DE Robert Mathis of Indianapolis and TE Jimmy Graham of New Orleans received 49 votes and Sherman 48.

The top punter, Johnny Hekker of St. Louis, is a Bothell High School and Oregon State grad.

  1. Well earned by the Legion. Can’t wait for the the Hawks to wreak havok in the playoffs.

  2. Well deserved by both, although I’m sure each would be the first to say what they do is all about the team. Farewell, Revis Island…Long live Sherman’s Lagoon. Or something like that.
