Sounders defender Damion Lowe has undergone successful surgery on his left hip and is expected to miss four months. Also, forward Kevin Parsemain suffered a torn ACL and will undergo surgery soon. Parsemain is expected to miss six to seven months.

The Sounders selected Lowe, 20, with its top pick (8th overall) in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft. The Jamaican international started three of six appearances for the Sounders during the preseason, logging 345 minutes. Lowe was a three-year starter at the University of Hartford, where he started all 44 appearances with eight goals and four assists.

Parsemain, 26, was signed March 28. He co-led the club with three goals in the preseason, starting four of six appearances with 248 minutes played. A native of Martinique, Parsemain is one of his country’s leading scorers at the international level and most recently played for Riviere-Pilote in the Martinique first division.
