Coach Sigi Schmid and the Sounders were fined undisclosed amounts by the MLS disciplinary committee for violations in multiple confrontations Saturday in Chicago against the Fire.

The fines were for violating the mass confrontation policy in the 42nd minute after also doing the same in the seventh minute. Obafemi Martins was fined after his red-card ejection in the 42nd minute for failing to leave the field in an orderly manner.

Fire players Benji Joya and Gonzalo Segares were also fined for instigating and escalating the seventh-minute incident, and former Sounder Jhon Kennedy Hurtado was fined for failing to leave the field after his 37th minute takedown of Martins resulted in an ejection.

Fire midfielder Jeff Larentowicz was also fined for hands to the head of Seattle’s Gonzalo Pineda in the 98th minute.
