Lorenzo Romar’s Washington Huskies and Mark Few’s Gonzaga Bulldogs will square off for the first time since Dec. 9, 2006 when they meet in the opener of the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament Nov. 25 at the Atlantis Resort in Nassau Bahamas. The matchup will be televised by ESPN with the winner facing either Texas or Texas A&M the following day.

All games of the Thanksgiving-week tournament will be played at the Imperial Arena in the Atlantis Resort.

Washington and Gonzaga have faced off 43 times with UW holding a 29-14 record. However, Washington is 1-8 in the past nine meetings.

The Huskies have the potential to take on Texas in the second game of the tournament, which would be the second meeting of the programs during the non-conference slate. UW and Texas play in Shanghai, China just two weeks before the Battle 4 Atlantis (Nov. 13, 7 p.m., PTESPN).event.

The Huskies could also face Texas A&M, a team they have not played since 2011.

The other side of the bracket has Michigan facing UConn and UNC-Charlotte taking on Syracuse. Game times will be announced later.
