The Pac-12 Conference Monday named Washington senior linebacker Travis Feeney as its defensive player of the week for his efforts in the Huskies’ 17-12 victory over 17th-ranked USC Thursday in Los Angeles. Feeney, a Richmond, CA., native, posted seven solo tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 quarterback sacks as UW held the Trojans to 345 yards.

Feeney had a half-sack on the first play of the game and another sack on a key third-down late in the third quarter that forced a USC punt. Feeney’s third sack came on a fourth-quarter drive, third-down play that forced USC to attempt a field goal that ultimately hit the crossbar and fell short. The Washington defense forced USC into a 1-for-13 on third-down conversions.

The conference also named Utah’s Devontae Booker and Tom Hackett as its offensive player and special teams players of the week. Booker had 267 all-purpose yards in a 30-24 win over California. Hackett averaged 50.8 yards on four punts.

Washington’s Myles Gaskin and Washington State’s Luke Falk received consideration for offensive player.
