RB Marshawn Lynch showed up on the injury list Friday as questionable with abdominal pain, but coach Pete Carroll after practice sounded optimistic that the star rusher will be ready to go Sunday night at home against division-leading Arizona (5:30 p.m., NBC).

“We think so,” Carroll said. “He thinks he’s okay.”

Carroll said Lynch felt something in his abdomen late in Thursday’s practice and “didn’t think it was anything.” Lynch still felt something at practice Friday and was held out.

“Think it’s something he’s had before so we treated him all day just to make sure we take care of him,” Carroll said.

Another new name on the injury list was reserve DL David King, said to be doubtful with a groin strain.

But the Seahawks will have the services of WR Paul Richardson, who will play for the first time since tearing his ACL in the January playoff game against Carolina. He likely will be activated Saturday when WR Ricardo Lockette is placed on injured reserve to make room on the 53-man roster.

But CB Jeremy Lane, who says he is recovered from the ACL tear and broken arm he had in the Super Bowl, will be held out one more week.

TE Luke Willson returned to full practice Thursday following recovery from a sore ankle.

The only anticipated lineup change for Sunday was disclosed earlier in the week, when assistant coach Tom Cable confirmed that Patrick Lewis will start at center. An ankle injury against Carolina kept him out of the two previous games, replaced by Drew Nowak, the original starter. Both are undrafted free agents attempting to replace traded veteran Max Unger.

“When we made the move and put Patrick in there, then he got hurt, and so we don’t take jobs away around here by injury,’’ Cable said. “So it’s still his ball, and he’ll have the opportunity to go prove that Sunday.’’

  1. Dropping Lynch next year will reduce payroll by $12.5M – I suggest trading him and using the $ for a solid OL and 1 or 2 RB’s. Lynch has been great but he doesn’t play all games due to injury, which will only get worse, and it really is time to pick up solid O linemen to not only block for the backs but also keep RW healthy, our MVP.

  2. So the Hawks are getting their sorry azzes kicked in tonite 19-0 as their playoff hopes come to a pitiful end. Countless penalties on every drive on both sides of the ball, the most pathetic OL play ever, that clown at RT keeps pushing Arizona pass rushers RIGHT INTO WILSON every time they blitz! When you watch Arizona block, the Seahawks pass rush is a step slow because they are being blocked AWAY from their QB, what a concept! This team is terrible & this season is over. Their mini dynasty is unfortunately over, making last year’s SB loss harder to take.
