Washington raced out to a 13-0 lead before two minutes had elapsed and continued to pour it on for a 92-62 discombobulation of the Montana Grizzles Saturday afternoon at Alaska Airlines Arena (box). Lorenzo Romar’s Huskies (7-2), who led by as many as 42 points, have won four in a row, including the past three by 18, 25 and 30 points.
Marquese Chriss (22), Dejounte Murray (16), David Crisp (14) and Andrew Andrews (12) scored in double figures as Washington shot 45.8 percent and won for the third time in three games in an eight-game home stand. Chriss, the youngest UW player at 18, produced a double-double, adding 11 rebounds.
The Huskies buried 10 3-pointers (Donaven Dorsey and Crisp had three apiece), forced 21 Montana turnovers and held the Grizzles to 32.3 percent shotmaking. UW also had a huge edge at the free throw line, 28-13. Washington has knocked down at least 10 3-pointers in three consecutive contests, the first time the Huskies have done that since 2010-11.

After Montana cut Washington’s lead to 13-8, the Huskies pushed it to 19-8 on a 3-pointer by Crisp and were not threatened thereafter. Washington led 52-30 at the half, the fifth time this season that it has scored 50 or more before intermission.
