The University of Washington men’s basketball team Monday placed four players on Pac-12 All-Conference teams, including senior guard Andrew Andrews, freshman guard Dejounte Murray, freshman forward Marquese Chriss and junior forward Malik Dime. This marks the first time since 2011-12 the Huskies have featured as many as four players on All-Pac-12 teams.
Andrews became the first Husky to earn a spot on the All-Conference first team since 2012 after finishing the regular season as the league’s leading scorer (21.2 points per game overall, 22.3 in conference play). Andrews earned two Pac-12 Player of the Week honors and produced seven 30-point games, most in a single season in UW history.
Andrews led Washington in assists (142), averaged a career high 5.8 rebounds and set the UW career record for free throws made with 546.
Andrews is the first Husky to lead the conference in scoring since Louie Nelson in 1972-73, and the first to make first-team All-Pac-12 since Terrence Ross and Tony Wroten in 2011-12.
Murray made the All-Pac-12 second team while also earning a spot on the five-man All-Freshman Team. He is the first UW freshman to make both All-Conference and All-Freshman since Wroten, and is the third Lorenzo Romar-coached freshman to collect both honors, also joining Isaiah Thomas (2009).
Murray led Pac-12 freshmen in scoring (15.3), steals (1.8) and assists (4.3) and was second in rebounding (5.8). Murray reached the 20-point mark seven times, including five in conference play.
Chriss was an honorable mention All-Freshmen choice. He averaged 12.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.6 blocks. Chriss reached double figures in 13 of 18 league games, including a stretch of 11 consecutive contests. He had 20 10+ scoring efforts, four double-doubles and started every game.
Dime received honorable mention honors on the All-Defensive team, becoming the first since Aziz N’Diaye in 2012 to earn a spot on that unit. The 6-9 forward saw action in all 30 games and posted a team-best 82 blocks, three shy of the school record. He ranked in the top 10 nationally in blocks, averaging 2.7. Dime also shot 61.2 percent from the field and averaged 5.6 rebounds and 6.7 points.
The eighth-seeded Huskies open the Pac-12 Tournament against No. 9 Stanford at noon Wednesday (Pac-12 Networks).

Nice they had such great players. Unfortunate, due to such poor coaching, they are hoping to get to the NIT, as they can’t finish in the top 68 teams for the NCAA’s!
