Clint Dempsey will join the U.S. Men’s National Team for two games against Guatemala as part of World Cup qualifying. He won’t miss Sounders games, because of of the international window for Cup and Olympics qualifying.

Coach Jurgen Klinsmann named 26 players to his roster, including former Sounder DeAndre Yedlin.

Dempsey, 33, is sixth all-time with 120 USMNT appearances and fifth with 105 starts, including the past three World Cups. His 48 goals rank second all-time, nine behind retired Landon Donovan.

In the fourth round, the U.S. is first in Group C with four points, followed by Trinidad and Tobago (four), Guatemala (three) and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (zero points). USMNT is 15-4-6 all-time against Guatemala with a 21-match unbeaten streak.
