Huskies’ 2016 football has five game-start times

The Pac-12 Conference Wednesday announced game times and television broadcast information for five University of Washington football games, including four of seven home games as well as the 2016 Apple Cup, scheduled for Nov. 25 at Martin Stadium in Pullman.

Washington’s first three games, all non-conference at home, will all air on Pac-12 Networks. The opener vs. Rutgers Sept. 3 will kick off at 11 a.m. The following Saturday, UW has Idaho in a 2 p.m. game. The non-conference schedule closes Sept. 17 with a 5 p.m. game vs. Portland State.

The UW’s first conference home game is 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, against Stanford on ESPN.

The Apple Cup is 12:30 p.m. and air on either FOX or FS1.

All remaining TV and kickoff times will be announced during the season, generally (but not always) on the Monday 12 days before each game.

WSU slate: The Cougars open at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3 by hosting Eastern Washington at Martin Stadium on the Pac-12 Networks. Following an away game at Boise State Sept. 10, with a time to be announced, the Cougars return to Martin Stadium to host Idaho at 11 a.m.  Saturday, Sept. 17.

In addition, the Cougars will play road games at Stanford, Arizona State, Oregon State and Colorado. Game time for the Boise State contest will be announced by the Mountain West Conference, though the conference has already announced that it will be televised by the ESPN Networks. The remaining home games include Oregon, UCLA, Arizona and California.

ESPN will televise on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or ABC, while FOX Sports will air its games on FOX or FS1. FOX will culminate the season when it carries the Pac-12 Championship Game Friday, Dec. 2.
