Softli comes by his expertise from nearly a lifetime of football on the field, sidelines and front office. A Newport High School grad and former University of Washington linebacker when the Huskies won the 1979 Sun Bowl, he was an assistant coach under legendary UW coach Don James.
Softli worked for the Carolina Panthers for 11 years in various personnel capacities before joining the St. Louis Rams as vice president of player personnel for four seasons. His knowledge of players, front offices and NFL policies and customs is unsurpassed.
He also is director of college recruiting for the NFLPAs annual Collegiate Bowl and has his own consulting business, Cattleya Media LLC.
