Washington State QB Luke Falk Wednesday announced that he will return to the Cougars for his redshirt-senior season. Falk would have been one of the top five QBs available in the NFL draft had he bypassed his final year of eligibility, according to Pro Football Focus.
“After much consideration, I wanted to let Cougar football fans know that I will be returning for my senior season in 2017,” Falk said in a statement. “The chance to play one final season with my teammates and friends, continue our development under a great coaching staff, and the opportunity to achieve more for Washington State football all went into my decision.
“We have much more to accomplish and I am excited to spend another season in Pullman. Thanks for all your support.”
Falk threw for 4,468 yards and 38 touchdowns last season while completing 70 percent of his throws. He had four or more TDs in a game six times. Falk made second-team All-Pac-12. He was a finalist for the Manning Award and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award and Davey O’Brien awards.
