The Mariners Wednesday selected RHP Andrew Moore from AAA Tacoma, optioned RHP Christian Bergman to the Rainiers and designated RHP Tyler Cloyd for assignment. Moore, 23, one of the Mariners’ brightest prospects 23-year-old Moore, was available to Seattle Wednesday night for the third of four games against the Detroit Tigers at Safeco Field.

Moore was a combined 4-3 with a 2.72 ERA in 14 games, including 13 starts, this season with the Travelers and Rainiers. Moore went 1-2, 2.08 with Arkansas and 3-1, 3.10 in Tacoma. In his 13 starts, has limited opponents to two or fewer runs in nine games.

In three minor league seasons in the Seattle organization (2015-17), Moore has combined to go 17-8 with a 2.59 ERA in 56 games, including 49 starts. He was selected by Seattle in the second round of the 2015 draft out of Oregon State University.

Bergman, 29, went 4-4 with a 5.44 ERA in nine games for Seattle after being selected from Tacoma May 7. He allowed two or fewer runs in five of eight starts. He began the season with Tacoma, where he was 5-0 with a 2.17 ERA.

Cloyd, 30, made one appearance with the Mariners after being selected from Tacoma June 2. He was the winning pitcher June 9 in a 4-2 victory over Toronto after tossing a shutout inning.

The Mariners (36-37) have won two in a row and can reach .500 with a win over Detroit. LHP James Paxton (5-2, 3.23) will throw opposite RHP Justin Verlander (4-4, 4.50).
