The Mariners Friday claimed right-handed reliever Chasen Bradford off waivers from the New York Mets and added him to their 40-man roster, which is now full. The Mets designated the 28-year-old Bradford for assignment Wednesday.

Bradford made his MLB debut with the Mets last season, going 2-0 with a 3.74 ERA with 27 strikeouts in 28 relief appearances. With AAA Las Vegas, he went 1-1 with 11 saves and a 4.04 ERA with 28 strikeouts in 33 relief appearances.

In seven minor league seasons, Bradford is 28-20 with 47 saves and a 3.48 ERA in 307 appearances, all in relief. The Mets selected him in the 35th round of the 2011 draft out of the University of Central Florida. He pitched two seasons at the College of Southern Nevada before pitching two more at UCF.
