The Mariners Saturday recalled OF Boog Powell from AAA Tacoma and placed RHP Evan Scribner on the 10-day disabled list with a flexor bundle strain. Powell will make his MLB debut with his first appearance, which could come Saturday when Seattle plays the second of three against the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field.

Segura, who will take the place of INF Mike Freeman, optioned to AAA Tacoma Monday, started Tuesday night when the Mariners began a three-game series with the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.
