Sounders Lock Up Montero: The Sounders have a press conference at 1 p.m. today, and it’s to announced they’ve signed Fredy Montero to a multi-year deal. The Sounders/MLS now own Montero’s contract, so if he goes to Europe they’d get the transfer fee.

Huskies Dominate Again: The Dawgs were back to their blowout ways, crushing a game Long Beach St. team 102-75. C.J. Wilcox hit six three-pointers for a game high 20 points–though seven Dawgs were in double figures. Washington 4-2. Next game Saturday vs. Texas Tech.

MBA Starts on the Pine: Aziz N’Diaye got his first career start after excelling in Maui while Bryan-Amaning floundered. A message from Romar? If so, message received: MBA was 7-7 from the floor and had 4 blocks.

    What They’re Saying

“I call (C.J. Wilcox) a video game sometimes when he is out there shooting. He has got one of the nicest jump shots and gets his feet set as well as anyone I have seen. I mean that’s Ray Allen kind of stuff.” — Lorenzo Romar

“”If I could shoot like that, I’d shoot every time.” — Isaiah Thomas on Wilcox (via @Todd_Dybas)

“Coach was saying I need to be more of a leader, be smarter with my decision making, and putting more effort when I’m out on the court.” — Matthew Bryan-Amaning

“If anybody wants to watch a beatdown huskies are on FSN.” — @FullerColby

“I still desperately want the Seahawks to make the playoffs, but it’d be nice if they got to 8-8 and avoided the eternal label of WORST PLAYOFF TEAM EVER.” —Dave Krieg’s Strike Beard
