Hall of Fame pitcher Gaylord Perry and Don Larsen, who pitched the only perfect game in World Series history, will be on hand for the first Fan Go-Round event at Tacoma’s remodeled Cheney Stadium from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Sponsored by the Tacoma Rainiers, Tacoma Athletic Commission and Tacoma-Pierce County Baseball-Softball Old-Timers Association, the event will feature players from Tacoma’s Pacific Coast League teams from 1960 to 2010 (Giants, Cubs, Twins, Yankees, Tugs, Tigers and Rainiers).

Perry came up through Tacoma in the early 1960s on his way to a stellar major league career, which included his career 300th win during his time with the Mariners. Larsen, who pitched the legendary game for the 1956 Yankees, was a member of the 1968 Tacoma Cubs.

The event will feature interactive games for kids as well as a memorabilia display featuring artifacts from as far back as 1895.  Admission, parking and autographs are free. More information is available at www.oldtimersbaseball.com.
