I don’t get what his problem is.  If he has no intent to have the NBA return to Seattle then fine.  But at least come across like you’re selling the NBA product rather than show disdain for a potential market.  Especially a market as large as Seattle’s.  Stern comes across as though he’s disinterested in the league ever putting a team here but then again Seattle is for the NBA what LA is for the NFL:  an example to other cities that if you don’t play ball their way you get your team ripped away from you.  Look at how Sacramento did everything possible and more to make a new arena happen.  And they knew better than to put an arena project to public vote.

If the NBA ever does return here it will not happen when Stern is commish.  Guarantee it.  The city should simply renovate Key Arena and let the NHL and NBA comes to them when they want to rather than actively pursuing each league.  Because there’s no guarantee either one will be here.
