Kaepernick, Lockette named in police report

Miami police are investigating a “suspicious incident” April 1 at the apartment of Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette, but one of his guests is drawing most of the interest — 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

“As of right now, we have an investigation,” Miami PD public information officer Kenia Reyes told NFL Media Thursday, after a report on the TMZ website disclosed that a woman filed a police report April 4 saying she woke up in a hospital unaware of how she got there. Also named in the report was another guest,  49ers wide receiver Quinton Patton.

Lockette and Kaepernick were teammates for a time in 2012 in San Francisco. Lockette played in eight games for the Seahawks in 2013, mostly on special teams, and had five receptions for 82 yards.

The 49ers released a statement saying, “The organization is aware of the recent media report regarding Colin Kaepernick and is in the process of gathering the pertinent facts.”

The Seahawks also issued a similar statement: “We are aware of the situation, monitoring it closely and will not have any further comment at this time.”

The police report obtained by TMZ said the woman claims she went to Lockette’s apartment in the Viceroy Hotel “to hang out” with the players. The woman told police she mixed drinks but was told that “in order to drink the shots she had to ‘hit’ the bong, which contained marijuana.”

The woman reported she felt lightheaded and went to the bedroom to lie down. Kaepernick, with whom she said she had sexual relationship, began kissing, but he left the bedroom while she was still in bed. She said she did not have sex with him.

She said Patton and Lockette peeked in and told them to get out. She said she can remember nothing thereafter, with no recollection of how she wound up in the hospital or who took her.

Miami police described it as a “suspicious incident” and assigned it to the Special Victims Office that handles sex crimes.

A bong, which contained marijuana!? A bong containing marijuana is as surprising as a cigarette containing tobacco.

Evidently these players aren’t aware of what’s going on with Aaron Hernandez. Even before he was sent to prison the Patriots cut him quick. All players are replaceable.

I’m sure they are aware but since they weren’t rolling around shooting people or at the very least being associated with the people doing the shooting, they probably thought they were good. You can get away with most things in the NFL but murder is where the line gets drawn, usually
