    Seven more Huskies taken in baseball draft

    Seven more players from the University of Washington’s baseball team were taken in Saturday’s final 30 rounds of MLB’s first-year player draft Saturday. Junior OF Robert Pehl was first when he was selected in 11th round by Kansas City with the 333rd overall pick.

    Others taken:

    RHP Jared Fisher  of Bellevue’s Newport High (15th round, 442) by the Philadelphia Phillies; senior OF Brian Wolfe (20th, 609), Los Angeles Dodgers; junior SS Erik Forgione (25th, 761),  Pittsburgh Pirates; junior 1B Trevor Mitsui of Lynnwood’s Shorewood High (30th, 900), Arizona Diamondbacks; RHP Trevor Dunlap (30th, 907), Tampa Bay Rays;  2B Andrew Ely (32nd,949), Chicago Cubs.

    Junior RHP Jeff Brigham of Thomas Jefferson High was selected by the Dodgers in the fourth round, 129th overall, Friday.

    Players have until July 18 to sign with the clubs that selected them.
