Trailer is out on Lynch’s movie about his life

Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch’s cinematic biography, “Family First: The Marshawn Lynch Story,” has issued a four-minute trailer for the movie that is still in post-production. The story traces Lynch’s rise from junior football in Oakand to college at Cal and on to the NFL.

First disclosed Tuesday by USA Today’s For the Win, the trailer has Davonte Lynch, Marshawn’s younger brother, portraying him in high school. Lynch stars as himself starting at Cal. No scenes were shown of his time with the Seahawks. Director Mario Bobino told the site there is no release date yet.

Lynch became a cause celebre at Super Bowl XLIX because of his refusal to respond to media questions. What little he did say — “I’m just here so I won’t get fined” — became an internet meme for which he has applied for trademark status.

As he does with his play, Lynch prefers to initiate contact with the media too.

Wow, this looks absolutely terrible. Low budget/high school-type video production. I will never watch this

Not interested, to be honest. Marshawn is a character, but not enough to make me want to spend money watching a movie about him. Good luck and Godspeed, Marshawn…you’ll never have a better time to maximize your brand than right now because the day you retire will be like the moment a new Lexus is driven off the lot.

Your only in the spotlight til your not in the spotlight… Lynch has his new gear out and doing alot to try to keep his name on peoples lips. It is a foregone conclusion the money is there to market himself as long as he remains a star. The contract will be signed within the next few weeks.

This looks delightfully low-budget, like a drive-in movie. I’m guessing it will be terrible, but it’s Lynch’s money and if he wants to hire his friends to make a movie then more power to him!
