The NFL Thursday announced partial details on the Seahawks’ 2015 preseason schedule, with all games coming against AFC West opponents. Seattle will open against the Denver Broncos at CenturyLink Field between Aug. 13-17 and follow with contests against the Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders. This marks the third consecutive preseason that the Seahawks will face the Broncos.

The Seahawks take on the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 2, play at San Diego Aug. 29, and host the Raiders in Week 4 (Sept. 3-4). The game against the Chargers will kick off at 5 p.m. Kickoff times have yet to be established for the other three games.

The Seahawks faced all four AFC West foes during last year’s regular season. They defeated the Broncos 26-20 in overtime, lost to the Chargers (30-21) and Chiefs (24-20), and defeated the Raiders  (30-24).

This is the 10th consecutive year that the Seahawks and Raiders will meet in the preseason finale.

Last season, Seattle went 2-2 in the preseason after winning nine consecutive preseason games dating to 2011.

Dates and times of  games will be announced later this month. Games will be broadcast on 710 AM ESPN Seattle and KIRO Radio 97.3 FM.

I’d like to see an NFL practice where preseason games are against opponents you won’t meet in the regular season. You can focus on judging your talent instead of hiding certain plays and tendencies from a pre-playoff foe.
