The master of both coin flip and team-first, Tarvaris Jackson will return to the Seahawks to back up QB Russell Wilson, according to Fox Sports Tuesday. Jackson had been a free agent looking a chance to compete for a starting job, but finally accepted the Seahawks offer.
For two years, Jackson has had little action behind Wilson, who has not missed a game in three seasons. Jackson threw a single pass last season, and was 10 of 13 the year before, all in mop-up duty. He made $1.25 million last season, and may have taken less to return. Wilson’s fourth-year contract will pay him $1.5 million, unless he gets an extension.
Jackson started 14 games in 2011 and earned the respect of teammates and coaches for playing through injury. He spent 2012 in Buffalo and also did not play there.
The Seahawks have been operating in organized team activities this month with two QBs, Wilson and R.J. Archer, 33, who has not thrown a pass in the NFL. The third-string quarterback last year, B.J. Daniels, is being converted to a wide receiver and kick/punt returner.
An ESPN story Tuesday speculated that another free agent quarterback looking for work, Michael Vick, 35, might be a fit in Seattle if Jackson did not return. Vick played in 10 games with three starts last year with the Jets.

I’ve been wondering if there’s any chance that Zack Miller can make another try at passing a physical after further rehab. Any comments?
I love the guy. He will have to beat out a younger TE who is already on the team. That’s if he is giving the chance with the Hawks.
