The Mariners Monday recalled RHP Danny Farquhar from AAA Tacoma and optioned LHP Edgar Olmos back to the Rainiers. Farquhar, who has had four stints with Seattle this season, was available when the club was to begin the first of four against the Texas Rangers at 3:40 p.m. Monday at Safeco Field.

Farquhar, 28, made 30 appearances with Seattle this season. He is 0-4 with one save and a 5.75 ERA (23 ER, 36.0 IP) with the Mariners. In his last stop in Seattle (Aug. 5-22) Farquhar went 0-1 with one save and a 3.18 ERA (two ER, 5.2 IP) in five games.

Olmos, 25, went 1-0, 4.50 in six games, including two starts, with the Mariners. He allowed six hits and five earned runs in 1.1 innings in his last start, Friday at Oakland. He is 1-1, 3.55 in 20 games with the Rainiers this season.

Olmos was on the disabled list from April 3-May 20 with a left shoulder impingement. The injury caused him to miss all of spring training.. Olmos was acquired by Seattle from the Miami Marlins via waiver claim Nov. 20, 2014.

The Mariners will send Roenis Elias (4-7, 3.35) to the mound Monday to face RHP Yovani Gallardo (11-9, 3.27).

Seattle went 7-3 on its 10-game road trip and seeks a sixth consecutive win. The Mariners lead the season series 8-4, including 4-2 at Safeco Field.
