The Seahawks made nine roster roster moves Tuesday, principally signing 6-4, 263-pound  defensive end David Bass, a seventh-round draft pick of the Oakland Raiders in 2013 who split his four-year NFL career with the Chicago Bears and Tennessee Titans.

Seattle also released eight players: CB Perrish Cox, TE Chris Briggs, C Ross Burbank, DT Rodney Coe, RB George Farmer, WR Jamel Johnson, K John Lunsford and RB Terrence Magee.

Bass, 26, was cut by the Raiders before the start of his rookie season. He played two seasons with the Bears and two with the Titans. He appeared in 49 games, starting nine. He has 5.5 career sacks, including a career-best three in 2014, as well as 85 total tackles, five passes defensed and two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown as a rookie.

The Seahawks hold their rookie camp at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center with sessions scheduled Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Seattle has scheduled its OTAs for May 30, June 1-2, June 5-6 and June 8-9. No contact is allowed in the workouts, but teams can hold 7-on-7, 9-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills. The Seahawks mandatory minicamp will be held June 13-15.

The NFL Tuesday finalized the dates and times of its 2017 preseason schedule. The Seahawks play at the Los Angeles Chargers Aug. 13 at 5 p.m.; host the Minnesota Vikings Aug. 18 at 7 p.m., host the Kansas City Chiefs Friday, Aug. 25 at 5 p.m., and play at Oakland Thursday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m.
