Takeaway The Mariners came out of the All-Star break much the same way they went into it, losing to the Houston Astros, this time 7-3 Friday night at Safeco Field (box).  To beat the Mariners for the fifth consecutive time, including a sweep in Houston before the break, the Astros used a five-run fifth inning when Seattle starter James Paxton ran into trouble.
