The Mariners Thursday recalled LHP Lucas Luetge from AAA Tacoma and optioned RHP Stephen Prior back to the Rainiers, one day after they summoned him to pitch against Minnesota. Luetge, who will be making his third stint with Seattle this season, will available for Thursday night’s game, the fourth of four, against the Twins.

Luetge, 27, made three appearances between April 9-14 and April 25-May 2. He has spent most of the season with Tacoma, appearing in 26 games. With the Rainiers he is 3-1 with two saves and a 3.40 ERA (15 ER, 39.2 IP).

Pryor, 24, allowed one unearned run in his season debut Wednesday night  (1.1 IP).

The Mariners, who have lost four of six and scored only seven runs in their past six contests, will start RHP Tom Wilhelmsen (1-1, 2.49), until now a reliever, against the Twins. The start will be the first of Wilhelmsen’s major league career. He will oppose RHP Yohan Pino (0-2, 4.98).
